Rear: Albumen print carte-de-visite photograph of a print titled “THE FIRST PRAYER” is inset under glass at center. The glass seems to be a later replacement.
Spine: Polished surface without decoration.
Foredge: Recessed but flat, polished surface.
Date of ca. 1870 based on the probable date of the carte-de-visite.
