Front: Raised lettering with polished but hatch marked surface: “Bible / 1906.” Lettering set within a rectangular border with a hatch marked surface. Traces of gold paint.
Rear: Blank.
Spine: Two sets of raised, single rib bands.
Foredge: Inset but flat, painted gold.

Conchoidal fracture on chip; indicative of glass or obsidian.  From a collection assembled thirty years ago by Phyllis Baker, an antique dealer in Wilmington, Delaware.
