Front: Lightly incised initials, painted gold: “I.B.R.” Initials surrounded by a deeper incised border, also painted gold. A leafed branch appears below the initials; a horseshoe appears at upper left and right corners inside the border, a small flower appears above the initials. All design elements painted gold.
Rear: Incised cross at center, within a rectangular border. Cross is lightly incised with a geometric pattern. All design elements painted gold.
Spine: Three sets of bands: top and bottom comprised of a single raised rib with deeply incised, gold painted borders, center band comprised of two raised ribs with three incised, gold painted borders.
Foredge: Inset but flat, painted gold.
