Back: Shallow incised design of a ribbon, an urn & artist’s palette, and overall foliate pattern.
Spine: Shallow incised foliate design and a scroll.
Foredge: Deeply coved with pages defifned by parallel grooving.

Low relief incising very thin and seems to rely on white of exposed marble for contrast.
