Front: Raised cross decorated with a raised vine-like pattern, painted black with traces of bronze paint. Corners bear incised diagonal lines and are painted black.
Back: Undecorated. Possibly had something adhered to its surface.
Spine: Two bands, each denoted by two incised lines, then inner area painted black
Foredge: Flat but inset, deeply incised lines representing pages, and painted black.

This may be a ceramic, not a stone book.
