Front: Black marble right hand corners with incised corner decoration. Blk marble spine with vertical decoration. All incising with bronze paint. Strong chamfer to covers.
Back: Identical design as front.
Spine: “Mrs. A. A. Vogel” in horizontal format (when book is flat). “POEMS/BYRON” at top and bottom, in horizontal when book is vertical.
Foredge: Black veined white marble.

Beautifully done incising. The quality and use of different marbles strongly suggests an Italian origin despite English words (Byron/Poems). With a second nearly identical book (#251), smaller, without inscriptions.
