Front: Relief carving of the word “ALBUM” set on a scroll. Surrounded by a wave-like border. All set against a stippled background. Otherwise polished surface.
Back: Blank but polished.
Spine: Convex shaped spine with relief carving of central oval (may have originally had something adhered to it) surrounded by a scrolling border and two raised bands. Surface is decorated with a light grid-like pattern.

1. Deeply coved fore edge.
2. Marble seems to show the effects of outdoor exposure/weathering.
