Rear: “R.R.R.” incised and with tightly hatched surface set within a banner like ribbon. Surrounded by incised leaf and flower design with portions tightly hatched. All within an incised border filled with the same tightly hatched surface.
Spine: Two bands, one at top, the other at bottom deeply incised and tightly hatched surface. Set at a diagonal in center are the raised initials “R.R.R.” set against the same tightly hatched surface.
Foredge: Inset with striations denoting pages.

Bears dealer’s label which reads: “Dated 1884 King of Prussia Marble stone book love token? $240 as is 24049.”
